Foam Sclerotherapy

Foam Sclerotherapy is a new and innovative use of the time tested sclerotherapy technique. It consists of the injection of a sclerosing solution (Sotradecol or Polidocanol) in the form of a bubbling-foamy consistence, instead of the liquid form.

The advantage of this technique is better contact of the solution with the inner wall of the veins, allowing longer time in the vein, therefore obtaining better results on larger veins.

Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy.
This technique is often used in conjunction with ultrasound guidance and is then referred to as Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy.

Transcatheter Foam Sclerotherapy (TFS)
A technique for treating sections of a malfunctioning deeper vein by administering foam sclerotherapy through a catheter and into the vein. The vein is localized and the catheter inserted with the help of an ultra sound scanner. The treatment is painless and done under local anesthesia and the patient will be back to normal activities immediately. No scars will be visible after healing.
